eating these oats for breakfast is a little bit like eating junk food for breakfast, but i mean that in the very best of ways. they're a perfectly sweet mix of textures. just right for a foggy day like today.
to start, melt a pat of earth balance in a frying pan and add to it sliced figs, pecans, and bananas. after they've had a chance to cook up a little bit, add a few spoonfuls of brown sugar. stir the mixture around until the sugar has melted and then dump it on top of your oats.
